Position Summary

Blue Water Benefits Administrators is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Supervisor to support daily operations and serve as a frontline leader for our claims and customer service teams. This role is responsible for guiding adjusters, customer service representatives, and team leads; monitoring performance and quality; assisting with benefit interpretation; and ensuring workflows are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with internal standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on health care professional with strong technical knowledge of medical claims, a passion for coaching others, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Team Support & Leadership

  • Serve as a primary resource for adjusters, customer service representatives and team leaders
  • Provide daily guidance, coaching and direction to support quality performance and professional development
  • Act as a liaison between staff and management to ensure clear communication and issue resolution

Operations & Workflow Management

  • Monitor daily productivity, quality metrics and turnaround times
  • Assign work, balance workloads and manage workflow to meet service expectations
  • Oversee staff schedules and coverage to ensure operational needs are met
  • Ensure tasks are completed accurately and within established timelines

Technical Support & Quality Oversight

  • Assist with benefit interpretation, complex claim questions and problem resolution
  • Conduct quality reviews and provide feedback, training and corrective guidance as needed
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy and customer experience

 Documentation & Communication

  • Assist in the development, maintenance and updating of internal policies, procedures and training materials
  • Communicate with members, clients and internal partners when necessary
  • Reinforce organizational policies, procedures, and service standards

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in medical claims processing or health care administration
  • Prior supervisory, lead, or mentoring experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of benefit interpretation, claims workflows and customer service operations
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and team-focused mindset
  • Reliable attendance and professional conduct
